About Our Work

We both teach the Dances and lead them either separately or together. We accompany ourselves and each other with guitars and hand drums or sometimes, other musical instruments.

Glenda and Trevor lead a dance

Each Dance programme we offer is conceived to follow a theme, which includes connecting us with natural cycles and the time of the year. All our weekend retreats are individual and are given a particular focus.

Two dancers with arms linked

We organise our own regular day and weekend events, and travel to many different areas of the country. We also respond to invitations to serve other Dance communities and to introduce the Dances to new groups.

Dancers, holding hands

Always keen to promote the Dances as much as we can, we have made ourselves available for outreach work and, as well as initiating outreach projects in the UK, we have also been invited to take our work abroad.

We have been privileged to work alongside other international teachers in the development and spread of these Dances and training of teachers in the UK - at the 'Sacred Arts Camp' and Unicorn 'Peace through the Arts' Dance Camp - and also at dance camps and training events in Latvia, Estonia & Russia. Independently, we have also led a series of retreats for the 'Myriade' organisation in the Ardèche region of southern France and, more recently in Brittany, have presented a longer retreat programme with an emphasis on teacher training to the 'Association A-La-Danse', and co-directed their 2009 Summer Camp (see links).

We have taken the Dances to a series of INSET days for teachers from numerous primary schools across the three counties of Devon, Dorset and Cornwall.

In addition, it has been an enjoyable variation from our normal work to have led the Dances in settings as diverse as conferences, yoga intensives, festivals, wedding and hand-fasting celebrations, inter-faith gatherings and even house parties.

If you like the sound of what we do and would like to come and dance with us - or you would like to discuss the possibility of us bringing our work to your venue (whether in the UK or elsewhere) - please see "Contact Us"
